Oplev en kunstnerisk kærlighedserklæring til havet
One For The Sea er en kærlighedserklæring til havet, hvor publikum får hovedtelefoner på, og bliver ledt afsted på en intim rejse langs Aarhus Havn. Her vil de opleve forførende nykomponeret musik og poetiske lydmontager. Som det ofte er med kærlighed, er det aldrig helt ukompliceret og fortællingerne om havet er både smukke og aldeles forfærdelige. Det bliver en intim oplevelse, hvor publikum stilles over for de kræfter og det liv, som havet omkring os rummer. Bag værkerne er Teater Fluks fra Aarhus i samskabelse med den svenske performer, Annikki Wahlöö, som vil formidle Verdensmål 14: Livet i Vandet. Forestillingen foregår på engelsk og er ikke egnet for dårligt gående.

Verdenshavene - deres temperatur, kemi, strøm og liv – driver de globale systemer, som gør Jorden beboelig for mennesker. Håndteringen af denne livsvigtige ressource er afgørende for menneskeheden som helhed, men også for afbødningen af klimaforandringernes konsekvenser. Over tre milliarder menneskers levebrød er afhængig af biodiversiteten i hav- og kystområder. Verdensmålene for bæredygtig udvikling skaber en ramme for bæredygtig forvaltning og beskyttelse af havene og kystnære økosystemer i forhold til landbaseret forurening og adresserer påvirkningerne af havforsuring.

Experience an artistic declaration of love for the sea
One For The Sea is a declaration of love for the sea, where the audience puts on headphones and is led on an intimate journey along Aarhus Harbour. They will experience seductive newly composed music and poetic sound montages. As it often is with love, it is never completely uncomplicated and the tales of the sea are both beautiful and utterly terrible. It will be an intimate experience where the audience is confronted with the forces and the life that the sea around us contains. Behind the works is Teater Fluks from Aarhus in co-creation with the Swedish performer, Annikki Wahlöö, who will convey Goal 14: Life below water. The show is in english and is not suitable for people with difficulty walking.
ABOUT GOAL 14
The world's oceans—their temperature, chemistry, currents, and life—drive the global systems that make earth habitable for humans. The management of this vital resource is crucial for humanity as a whole, but also for mitigating the consequences of climate change. The livelihoods of over three billion people depend on the biodiversity in marine and coastal areas. The Global Goals for Sustainable Development create a framework for the sustainable management and protection of the oceans and coastal ecosystems in relation to land-based pollution and address the impacts of ocean acidification.
