Tre sultne tjenere bruger husmur som dansegulv
I denne spektakulære performance danser, hopper og flyver tre tjenere op og ned ad en 15-meter høj husfacade. De er tjenere, de skal servere, men de er selv sultne. Husmuren bliver deres dansegulv, hvor de kan udfolde luftakrobatik og svæve frit i luften i en absurd eksplosion af kød og slapstik. I forbindelse med United Change, indgår aarhusianske DON GNU og dansk/israelske performer Sparrow Dance for første gang i et kunstnerisk samarbejde og parrer fritsvævende kroppe med musik, videokunst og installation. Forestillingen SULT befinder sig i krydsfeltet mellem dans, nycirkus og musikteater med et tematisk omdrejningspunkt i Verdensmål 2: Stop sult. DON GNU er kendt for deres action teater, og har turneret i alt fra Canada til Cuba. Nu kan de opleves på husmuren på Teatret Svalegangen.

Over 90 millioner børn under fem år er faretruende undervægtige, og hver fjerde indbygger i Afrika går stadigt sulten i seng. Verdensmålene for bæredygtige udvikling vil afskaffe alle former for sult og underernæring inden 2030 og sikre, at alle mennesker - især børn og de mest sårbare - har adgang til tilstrækkelig og nærende mad hele året rundt. Det indebærer fremme af bæredygtige landbrugsmetoder: forbedring af livsgrundlag og kapacitet i små landbrug samt at sikre lige adgang til jord, teknologi og markeder. Sammen med de øvrige verdensmål kan vi afskaffe sult inden 2030.

Three hungry servants use the house wall as a dance floor
In this spectacular performance, three servants dance, jump and fly up and down a 15-metre high house facade. They are waiters, they have to serve, but they themselves are hungry. The house wall becomes their dance floor, where they can perform aerial acrobatics and float freely in the air. In connection with United Change, Aarhusian DON GNU and Danish/Israeli performer Sparrow Dance enter into an artistic collaboration for the first time and pair free-floating bodies with music, video art and installation. The performance HUNGER is at the crossroads between dance, new circus and musical theater with a thematic focal point in Goal 2: Zero hunger. DON GNU is known for their action theatre and has toured everywhere from Canada to Cuba. Now they can be experienced on the house wall of Teatret Svalegangen.
ABOUT GOAL 2
Over 90 million children under the age of five are dangerously underweight, and one in four inhabitants of Africa still go to bed hungry. The global goals for sustainable development will eliminate all forms of hunger and malnutrition by 2030 and ensure that all people - especially children and the most vulnerable - have access to sufficient and nutritious food all year round. It involves the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices: improving the livelihoods and capacity of small farms and ensuring equal access to land, technology and markets. Together with the other sustainable development goals, we can abolish hunger by 2030.
