Aarhus Symfoniorkester vil omslutte publikum i Aarhus Bugt
Aarhus Symfoniorkester og nonprofitorganisationen Race For Oceans præsenterer en unik koncertoplevelse under Aarhus Festuge 2023. Aarhus Symfoniorkester trækker havet ind i Symfonisk Sal og inviterer til en unik fordybelses-koncert med forrygende orkestermusik og helt nye optagelser af livet på, i og under vandet omkring Aarhus. Koncerten er udviklet i samarbejde med ’Race for Oceans’ og involverer en række lokale aktører som på forskellig vis er afhængige af havet, enten som erhverv, hobby eller livsvilkår. Projektet indgår også i Teatret Svalegangens United Change koncept og sætter fokus på FN’s Verdensmål 14: Livet i Havet og er ydermere end del af Aarhus Symfoniorkesters ”VelLyd” serie, som undersøger sammenhængen mellem musik og sundhed.

Verdensmålene for bæredygtig udvikling skaber en ramme for bæredygtig forvaltning og beskyttelse af havene og kystnære økosystemer i forhold til landbaseret forurening og adresserer påvirkningerne af havforsuring.

The symphony orchestra will surround the audience in the sea from Aarhus Bay
Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and the non-profit organization Race For Oceans present a unique concert experience during Aarhus Festival Week 2023. Aarhus Symphony Orchestra draws the sea into the Symfonisk Sal and invites you to a immersive concert featuring extraordinary orchestral music and new recordings of life on, in and under the water of Aarhus. The concert has been developed in collaboration with 'Race for Oceans' and involves a number of local actors who are dependent on the sea in various ways, either as a profession, hobby or living conditions. The project is part of Teater Svalegangen's United Change concept and focuses on the UN's World Goal 14: Life below water and is also part of the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra's "VelLyd" series, which examines the connection between music and health.
ABOUT GOAL 14
The world's oceans — their temperature, chemistry, currents, and life — drive the global systems that make earth habitable for humans. The management of this vital resource is crucial for humanity as a whole, but also for mitigating the consequences of climate change. The livelihoods of over three billion people depend on the biodiversity in marine and coastal areas. The Global Goals for Sustainable Development create a framework for the sustainable management and protection of the oceans and coastal ecosystems in relation to land-based pollution and address the impacts of ocean acidification.
